Minds Abroad is a U.S.-based organization that conducts faculty-led,
cultural immersion programs in China. Focusing on Chinese language
programs and culture immersion, Minds Abroad provides a hands-on
understanding by putting students in real-life contexts.
Our programs are flexible and year-round. These programs are a balanced
combination of language classes, cultural activities, academic
excursions and experiential learning in form of internships at area
businesses, volunteer placements in non-profits and language exchange
activities with local students. As a part of our faculty-led programs,
we accommodate students with local homestay families so that students
have an all-encompassing cultural experience. The above components of
our programs can be tweaked according to the requirements and budget of
the faculty-led groups.
Because of the way our programs engage students with local communities,
Minds Abroad was named a “Top Ten Best Practices Program” by the Center
for Citizen Diplomacy in conjunction with the U.S. State Department.
