论文摘要Paper Abstract:Education is a systematic process of learning and teaching. It consists of five components: students, teacher, learning content, instructional materials and learning environment. This presentation will share two teaching cases of daily routine class activities (Listen and Find Word Cards, Write & Guess What the Chinese Character is). Taking the teaching cases as examples, it will discuss how to reflect and customize class activities in accordance with the five components of a specific class from 1st year of teaching till now, and analyse to what extent that every customization improves the efficiency of classroom instruction. In addition, it will present the methods of formative assessment of students’ mastery of language forms and communication competence. Samples of students’ work will be displayed to show how the methods match to the learning goals and the effectiveness of classroom instruction.
发言人简介Presenter's Bio:Chinese language content developer in Benchmark Education Company and a Chinese language teacher in a community school. He earned master degree of LOTE/TESOL from Hofstra University in 2012.
