Teaching in stories a new way of teaching Chinese as a foreign language

论文摘要Paper Abstract"based on the teaching materials I have used, I found the biggest problem is the content of the text does not attract the learner., nor there are any Chinese cultural elements.So my consideration is trying to to use the Chinese ancient stories as the teaching material, and integrated the Chinese culture into it. The Japanese already tried, they make the Chinese classic novel journey to the west as a teaching material, but we will do better. We could reorganize some folk stories for teaching particular grammars, like Houyi Shot down nine suns with the arrow;Chang’e flew to the moon, we could make this story a funny and effective way to learn”ba”sentence.

However, it is too difficult to compile a complete series of textbooks based on ONE novel, therefore: We need to choose a variety of chapters carefully from the vast library of Chinese ancient novels and folk tales; we should be very cautious to compile the scripts; try to have a coherent plot between the two or three chapters; with illustrations and charts to reveal the relationship between the characters makes the textbook lively and vivid."
