Incorporating Multimedia Resources in the Classroom Instruction

论文摘要Paper Abstract:More and more technologies and multimedia tools have being used in our daily Chinese language instruction. It is critical to design our lesson effectively to engage students in learning by incorporating these tools. This session will demonstrate the best practices to engage Chinese learners in building classroom instructions using various multimedia tools through a thematic approach. Participants will examine strategies to integrate these tools in their classroom instruction. They will be guided to create engaging learning activities based on instructional objectives and the needs of language learners, and will also have the opportunity to develop sample lesson plans to integrate aspects of language and cultural learning. This section aims to present a full of view of integrating current multimedia sources, such as iMovie and Google classroom to engage students in learning Chinese language and culture, and to improve student communicative proficiency through interactive activities.
