Ways to make learning Chinese fun

We all know learning to read and write in Chinese is hard! What strategies and scaffolds can we use to support students and make the work easier both for them and for us as teachers? There are many advantages to using games as teaching materials and make language teaching and learning more engaging and entertaining. When game is properly used to language learning, students usually demonstrate an increased interest and produce more language output. This workshop will engage participants in hands on activities with pedagogical principles focusing on some easy-to-use games/activities. Participates will also learn how to select the appropriate games for the immersion classroom use.
