Presentation Title: Using iPad/Tablet to promote active learning in Mandarin language classroom

Presentation Abstract: The purpose of this presentation is to discuss how to use iPad/Tablet to foster active learning in Chinese language classrooms. It is based on a Mandarin program at a 9^th-12^th grade public high school in California. This is an opportunity to learn about the benefit and common challenge of using iPad/Tablet in Chinese classes. Participates will also learn about common issues of applying popular applications, such as Google Docs, Google voices, Quizlet, Voicethread, Dropbox, etc. Plus there will be a segment of a reflection on using a free iPad App named “Educreations” in Chinese classroom to promote active learning.
