Looking for a job is the second challenge next to their previous decision to be
a professional in teaching Chinese. It has been observed that it took candidate
teachers average 1.5 years to find their jobs. The present essay discussed the
psychology of candidate teachers, their strength and weakness in job hunting
and points out there are tips in job hunting. It is the present writer’s wish
that these tips could be of some help to those student teachers, new immigrant
teachers and those who recently graduated from colleges. The essay concluded
that the demand for Chinese teachers is increasing while the numbers of
qualified teachers are far from enough. The tips sell the candidate at a better
price at the human resource market.
