在海外,华人人口中以学理工科的为多,中文系、教育系毕业的很少。因此,海外的中文教师也大部分是半路出家,由其他专业改行而来的。然而,并非所有中文流利的人都能成为合格的中文教师的。要成为一名合格的中文教师,首先要对汉语的基础理论知识有一个基本的了解,还要掌握一种以学生为中心的有效的教学方法。可是,搜寻北美书店里销售的三百多种汉语教材,几乎全是针对学生编写的教科书,极少有专门针对中文教师的培训教材。现有的中文语法、教学法等书籍都是传统的理论性书籍,正规学校的中文教师为了考教师执照会去接触;可对于中文学校的老师们而言,他们大部分有自己的正式工作,只是周末来业余教学,要让他们重新阅读大量枯燥难懂的中文基础理论知识和教学法书籍显然是不现实的。为着弥补这一缺憾,本书试图把枯燥的汉语基础理论用生动活泼的形象教学法讲述出来,奉献给中文教师一部短小精悍、通俗易懂的辅助教材,以使老师们能在最短的时间内对汉语的基础理论知识作一全面、系统的浏览,同时掌握一种行之有效的形象教学法。

The majority Chinese people overseas are learners who studies science, and engineering. There are very few people right now whom would graduate from a Chinese, or pedagogical major. In this case, most of the oversea Chinese teachers have either no teaching experiences, and/or any Chinese educational training at all. As simple as being a Chinese teacher may sound, not everyone who speaks Chinese fluently can become a qualified Chinese teacher. If you want to become a qualified Chinese teacher, you must understand the basic Chinese theory knowledge first, and you must also have an effective teaching method.

There are more than three hundred Chinese teaching materials in North America’s bookstores, but nearly all of them are textbooks that are for students only, and I could not find a single book on how to become a Chinese teacher. The current Chinese grammar books and teaching method books that are available right now are all just traditional theoretical books. Such books are not fit for the Chinese School's teachers to read, because they have their own official works to do. Since the Chinese schools usually opens on the weekends, they are not as important as the teachers’ personal life, and work, so the teachers spending their precious time on some books that they could not understand could be a big waste of time.

Since the teaching method books are extremely confusing and hard to understand. In order to help the Chinese teachers learn about the basic Chinese theories, and the vivid teaching methods, I wrote a book to help the teachers to quickly comprehend them. My book will simultaneously grasp an effective Image Instruction Method.
